In early 2012 Eco-Fish Consultants purchased an LR-24 Backpack Electrofisher for fisheries survey purposes in Scotland and further afield. This experienced group of scientists has a wealth of expertise in ecology, hydrology, and various marine and freshwater ecological services.
Smith-Root Europe is pleased to provide the Eco-Fish team with another tool to add to their arsenal. The LR-24 is the world’s most advanced electrofisher and it will surely allow Eco-Fish to expand their capabilities in fisheries survey work. Eco-Fish’s Director/Principal Scientist Richard McMullan had the following to say about the LR-24:
“We are very happy with our recent purchase, the unit has been designed and engineered in a very professional way, it has user friendly settings and more importantly fish capture is very smooth. We would fully recommend the LR-24 from Smith-Root and are looking forward to using it throughout this survey season.”
