Extended Maintenance Program
The ultimate support program for total peace of mind. The Extended Maintenance Program provides protection against electronic repairs well beyond the expiration of the electrofishers standard one-year warranty.
The Extended Maintenance Program is a service contract offered to customers who have purchased Smith-Root electrofishing equipment directly from our factory. It can be purchased for equipment that is past its standard one-year warranty. Older equipment is subject to eligibility parameters such as hours/years in service. Below is a list of Smith-Root equipment eligible for the extended maintenance program.

- 1.5kVA Electrofisher
- EA-1000A Electroanesthesia Unit
- 2.5 thru 9.0 GPP Shore Model Electrofishers (pulsator only, generator not covered)
- VVP-15B Electrofisher
- LR-24 Electrofisher
- LR-20 Electrofisher
- LR-20B Electrofisher
- Type VI-A Electrofisher
Note: Unless adding during the purchase of a new unit, the offering of the extended maintenance service is contingent upon the unit being inspected by a Smith-Root technician onsite (all shipping charges to be covered by customer). If upgrades or crucial repairs are found to be needed at the time of assessment those upgrades/repairs will need to be completed at the customers expense prior to the extended maintenance being provided.
Program Fees
By paying an annual fee with zero deductible these rates can include a combination of electrofisher units. All prices US dollars.

| Additional units can be added with a completed amendment. Units added between anniversary dates will be pro-rated at 1/10 of annual rate, for each month remaining on the contract. Renewal contracts are mailed 30 days prior to the contract expiration date. The owner is responsible for freight charges to and from Smith-Root. All repairs covered by the program must be performed by an authorized Smith-Root repair facility. | |||||

Services Provided Under Contract
- During the term of this agreement, Smith-Root factory technicians will perform cleaning of internal component parts, electronic repairs and calibration once (1) per year.
- During this maintenance period, upgrades to current specifications will be performed to factory standards. The unit will be recertified and issued a Smith-Root certification label.
- All labor and materials will be included in the yearly inspection.
- A comparable loaner unit may be available in the event of an unforeseen equipment failure during a field project. Subject to equipment availability. Shipping charges are extra.

- Rat-tails
- Batteries
- Battery Chargers
- Suspension System
- Carry Case
- All products or parts thereof which have been altered or repaired outside of the Smith-Root factory or damaged by improper installation or application, or subjected to misuse, abuse, neglect, normal wear and tear or accident.
