Biologist Patrick Cooney Wins Awards at AFS 2013

When he’s not busy talking with customers and colleagues at the trade show booth, Smith-Root’s Patrick Cooney has been recognized with several awards at the 2013 American Fisheries Society Annual Meeting. Patrick was awarded the highly competitive Skinner Travel Award (which paid for his travel to the meeting in Little Rock, Arkansas) and was a co-runner up for the Best Published Paper Award for one of his science publications. Patrick also won the coveted International Young Professional Travel Prize when the AFS International Fisheries Section chose him (among many applicants) to represent AFS as its young professional awardee to travel to the Fisheries Society of the British Isles Meeting in Glasgow, Scotland. Congratulations, Patrick!
