Smith-Root Response To COVID-19 And Our Commitment To You

Dear Customers and Suppliers,

 

Smith-Root is closely monitoring the spread and management of the COVID-19 coronavirus. I am writing to inform you that we have taken proactive steps to maximize our ability to support you and your needs. Additionally, we are taking action to support and protect our employees who work tirelessly so that we can continue to provide our equipment to incredible scientists and natural resource managers around the globe.

 

We know that communication is key to meeting your expectations. Subsequently, we already activated Smith-Root’s remote technology plan that allows your calls and emails to route to critical departments at our office or homes. We are also aware that many of you are already working remotely or ceased work altogether. We understand that a lack of access to work facilities may limit your future ability to communicate with us about important questions, orders, repairs, and quotes.  Therefore, please be aware that we are here to help and are providing several ways that you can reach us. Do not hesitate to contact us by any of these methods and we will make sure that your inquiry is routed to the proper individuals.

Currently, our technicians are focusing on orders, repairs, and service of equipment in a purposeful manner that follows CDC guidelines so that we can ship to you safely and in a timely fashion. Please contact us if you already have equipment here or have placed an order that you will be unable to receive due to your office being temporarily closed. We will be happy to make arrangements to hold your equipment until further notice.

 

We appreciate your patience and look forward to being flexible and nimble in addressing your needs in as timely a fashion as possible. As new information and circumstances arise, we will communicate changes to you as we move forward. In return, we ask that you please advise us with any anticipated changes on your projects, purchases, or at your facilities that may impact your interactions with Smith-Root. We also ask our supply chain partners to advise us of any anticipated delays or changes with regards to material deliveries so we can continue to evaluate, and if necessary, modify our operating plans accordingly.
