Karn/Weadock Generating Complex Barrier

A Smith-Root electric barrier prevents Lake Huron fish from entering the warm water tailrace from a power station.
This is an upstream barrier constructed across the tailrace carrying cooling water from the Bay City Consumers Energy power station to Lake Huron.
Four U-shaped steel flat bar electrodes are located in slots in the Insulcrete™ weir deck and sidewalls. The pulsators are housed in a small, building nearby.
