Extra Heavy Duty Series Electrofishing Boat

The most robust electrofisher ever made, period. The heavy duty hull will provide any scientist with a work platform that will last a career. Ideal for scientists on long field days on large rivers and reservoirs. Large storage compartments, incredible stability, and work space designed for large field crews. Available in 18, 20, and 21 foot hull lengths.

Imitated, Never Duplicated

Custom-built from the bottom up, the Extra Heavy Duty Series sets the gold standard for electrofishers. With a fully integrated electrofisher, power generation, and livewell, the EHX Series boats can't be equaled by boats built from random parts.

Work Space And Storage Are Standard

The center island design allows for an unprecedented amount of working space. Roomy walkways allow easy access to the full boat length on both sides and the large, stable forward work deck provides room for multiple crew members.

Built To Last

The custom designed hull is constructed from heavy gauge marine grade aluminum for a long service life. The all-welded design combined with hard rivets means your Smith-Root electrofishing boat will be on the water for decades.

The Apex Electrofisher built-in to every Smith-Root electrofishing boat is the most versatile electrofisher in the world because it incorporates the widest range of electrical inputs and outputs. This provides utility across diverse environmental conditions and a broad range of fish sizes and species. Additionally, the Apex Electrofisher is the only electrofisher in the world that records electrical inputs and outputs, along with GPS location, date, and time for every second of electrofishing. Integrated USB interface allows for rapid downloading of collected data as well as loading of new software and firmware. The Apex provides unparalleled safety, standardization, cost reductions, and reporting of electrofishing efforts and research.
